報告人簡介：

Prof. Fukuzumi currently is a Distinguished Professor in Department of Chemistry and Nano Science, Ewha Womans University, Seoul, Korea. He received PhD from Indiana University with Prof. J.K. Kochi. After that, he joined Osaka University until his retirement in Japan in 2015. He has published more than 1000 papers including JACS (194)，angew (37)， PNAS (5)，ACR (3) with h-index of 92. He also received a list of awards including The Chemical Society of Japan (CSJ) Award (2005), Medal with Purple Ribbon (2011), Robert Burns Woodward Career Award in Porphyrin Chemistry The Society of Porphyrins and Phthalocyanines (2014), and The Asian and Oceanian Photochemistry Association (APA) Award (2016).

Sustainable and clean energy resources using solar energy are urgently required in order to solve global energy and environmental issues. In this lecture, he will present their recent progress in new strategies for artificial photosynthesis, focusing on combination of photocatalytic production of hydrogen peroxide from seawater and dioxygen in the air as a solar fuel and its usage in hydrogen peroxide fuel cells.
