報(bào)告人簡介:
Prof. Motomu Kanai received his B.S. degree from The University of Tokyo in 1989. After three years’ research with Professors K. Koga in the same university, he went to Osaka University in 1992 and pursued graduate study under the guidance of Professor K. Tomioka. After earning his Ph.D. degree, in 1996, he took a postdoctoral position in the laboratory of Professor Laura L. Kiessling at University of Wisconsin. Since 1997, he has started working at The University of Tokyo in the research group of Professor M. Shibasaki. In 2010, he became a professor in The University of Tokyo.
Research interest:
1. Development of new catalysis to facilitate complex molecule synthesis.
2. Clean, robust, and concise synthesis of pharmaceuticals.
3. Mechanistic studies of new catalyses.
